BRIEF HISTORY OF STA. CRUZ ACADEMY OF LUBAO, INC.

Sta. Cruz Academy of Lubao, Inc. had a very humble beginning. With the displaced staff and high school students from the Sta. Cruz Central Institute (defunct SCCI), the enrollment is its first academic year was literally held under the trees.

The late Dr. Conrado Paule Jimenez, Jr., then the incumbent municipal mayor and a successful alumnus of SCCI, took all the possible actions to settle amicably the dispute between the administrators and the employees and that to keep the school operational. Unfortunately his effort was in vain because the school owner informed the public that SCCI is totally closed from the school year 1989 and onwards due to bankruptcy.

In response to the insistent demands and request of parents and students, in May 1989 the late Dr. Conrado P. Jimenez Jr., deeply concern with the plight, immediately constructed temporary classrooms within his residential area to house the displaced SCCI population. Inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit, there was a strong calling for the late Dr. Conrado Paule Jimenez, Jr.: A SERVICE TO EDUCATION for the youth of Sta. Cruz, Lubao and nearby barangays. Thus the closure of SCCI is the opening of the Sta. Cruz Academy of Lubao, Inc. The founder firmly believed that the best gift that can be offered to our children is EDUCATION.

To ensure a healthy school, safe, orderly climate and wholesome environment and the location more conducive to learning the founder acquired a rice land of 10,300 square meters located in Bona St., Sta. Cruz, Lubao, Pampanga. Eventually this place became the permanent location of the Elementary and Junior High School Departments. Few years later a nearby lot of 6,023 square meters was purchased for school expansion: the Senior High School department.

Many have witnessed how STA. CRUZ ACADEMY OF LUBAO, INC. struggled for its survival. It managed to rise to its remarkable height despite the odds and is constantly growing and expanding. Indeed, the school is nurtured with genuine trust, service, commitment, dedication and strong leadership.

MRS. ROSALIA DABU JIMENEZ, now the President/Directress, keeps on devising ways to improve the school and its facilities. Today Sta. Cruz Academy of Lubao, Inc. is at par with other schools being academic and non-academic activities, including its outreach programs and services. SCALI has been and consistently the center and venue for pastoral and civic affairs. In this regard some of the teachers and administrative staff as well as SCALI students are members of the different religious organizations and groups for civic consciousness. Likewise the school is also actively involved in social and civic assemblies like sports tournament, club activities dental and medical missions and different general assembly’s in order to enhance the amity of the institution with other private and public institutions.

Remarkably, Sta. Cruz Academy of Lubao, Inc. has its share in educating, developing and involving in academic, sports and outreach programs within the province and will continue to strive steadfastly working for its SERVICE, COMMITMENT and ACHIEVEMENT.

At the start of the school year 2017-2018, STA. CRUZ ACADEMY (SCA) came to be STA. CRUZ ACADEMY OF LUBAO, INC. (SCALI).

As an institution, Sta. Cruz Academy of Lubao, Inc. seeks to develop the personality of the individual based on the school motto “Fides Quaerens Intellectum” (Faith Seeking Understanding).

Sta. Cruz Academy of Lubao, Inc. dedicates herself to the task of developing you Filipinos ready to meet the challenging signs of the times.

  1. PERSONALLY, by training the students to utilize their potentials, capabilities and developing them to the service of God, country and fellowmen;
  2. INTELLECTUALLY, so they may wish to seek the necessary knowledge that will enable them to aspire for higher education leading to a better and fruitful life;
  3. SOCIALLY, so they may acquire the skills and attitudes which enable them to fulfill their commitments as members of a democratic society and be able to shoulder their responsibilities as mature individuals toward other members of the community;
